Which is a shame because other than that it seemed ok. The difficulty spike on various single monsters is just insane and totally takes away from the playability and enjoyment of the game. all up until you get that one crazy monster who is almost impossible to kill. I tried out Belzebub, Tchernobog, and The Hell 2 but they all had some weird things going on.īelzebub & Tchernobog seemed alright. Seriously the best thing to come for the Diablo game (IMO). The experience running DevilutionX has been AMAZING. it doesn't seem to be as well-known but it is EXACTLY what I was after in a mod - the core mechanics and gameplay of the original DIablo with the quality-of-life improvements, such as better resolution, town running, automatic belt refills, ground item display, and enemy health bar.
To me, this is the perfect mod.īut there is far less information on it. I'm surprised no one has mentioned DevilutionX. I've recently reinstalled Diablo and have been trying out the various mods.
